What is Athens open tour?
Athens Open Tour is the first Greek Get on Get off Company to provide tours in the Cities of Athens Piraeus Glyfada & Vouliagmeni. Our tours are provided on Yellow open – top double-decker buses with audio-guide commentary available in 14 languages. Each tour is carefully designed to present the best of the city’s landmarks.
What will I gain from the tour?
The tour will get you in touch with our civilization, history and architecture. Our tour routes are carefully designed to show you the key landmarks and attractions in each city and the audio-guide commentary will explain the city’s history, geography and culture. You’ll also have great photo opportunities. The Open Tour gives you the opportunity to see the city from above combining pleasure and education.
Do the tour routes cover all major sights?
Not only does it cover all major attractions, but the tour also includes key shopping centres in the city. Visit the world’s famous ancient monument of the Acropolis with the Parthenon, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Panathenaic Stadium, where the first modern Olympic Games took place, and the brand new museum of Acropolis. Also visit the Greek Parliament, the Prime Minister residence, the great markets of Athens, right in the hearts of the city, the Beaches of Attica and the biggest Port one of the Biggest ports of Mediterranean sea. Enjoy the view from above in our modern double-deck open buses.
Do you offer audio guide commentary on the bus?
Our services are supported by audio guide commentary, available in 12 languages (English, Greek, Spanish, German, Italian, French, Russian, Japanese, Turkish, Portuguese, Chinese and Arabic), through which historical and general information of the city and monuments is given. Clients are provided a set of head phones and a city guide of Athens and Pireaus with additional information.
How long does the tour last?
It is totally up to you…The Athens Route lasts 90 minutes and the Piraeus Route 60 minutes and Riviera & beaches 2 hours without getting off the bus, but you can also Get on Get off at any of the stops as many times you wish concerning the validation of the tickets and the number of lines that you have chosem. The frequency of the Athens Open Tour buses is every 15 or 30 minutes and gives you the opportunity to visit any place that interests you. Your ticket is valid for 24, 48 or 72 hours, from the time that you start the tour (first get on).
Will tour guests be able to Get on Get off?
Guests can get-on, get-off as many times as they wish at the designated bus stops during the validity of the ticket.
Where can I buy a ticket?
You can buy a ticket online and benefit from our e-tickets discount, from any of our company representatives at our bus stops or from any of our authorized agent.
Do I have to book in advance?
No, you are welcome to buy tickets on the spot, though buying online in advance may enable you to benefit from our discount.
Do I have to specify a date for joining the tour?
If booking online you have the option of purchasing your ticket with an open date and join the tour on any day. Your ticket is valid from the date and time you first board the bus.
Does the bus route cover hotels?
The tour covers more than 75 of the major hotels in Athens and Piraeus.

Are the tour stops easily recognisable?
Our yellow bus stops is characterised by their colour and visible signage. They are also located at the most central spots of the city. Please see maps page for more information.
What time is our first and last bus schedule?
During the months April – November our buses operate from 08.00 until 20.00 and respectively from December to March from 09.00 until 17.30. Cruise Ship’s passenger may find us near the Cruise Ships Terminal from 08.00 all year long.
Our tours have regular departures throughout the day. The bus schedule frequency is every 15-30 minutes from each bus stop. However, estimated frequency could be delayed due to traffic conditions.
How will I know where I get off?
All bus stops are detailed on our maps. Please see our map page for more information. The audio guide commentary includes advice on all of the bus stops which are also announced by the drivers at every station.
Do you operate every day?
We operate every day all year long.

What is the child policy?
Children under 5 may travel free of charge. To qualify for child ticket, children must be aged between 5 and 15 years old.
Is it possible to hire a bus for private events?

Is Wheelchair access available on the buses?
All buses are Disable-Friendly with proper ramps and railings for the handicaps and wheelchair passengers.
