It is an awesome introduction to the beautiful city of Athens. We are uncovering the charms of both the ancient and the modern city center in a relatively fast and entertaining way, making stops to share interesting stories.
This morning bike tour lasts about 2.5 hours and it is a nice way to get yourselves oriented in the city of Athens. The ride takes place in the amazing historic city center, on pedestrian areas, low traffic streets and parks and away from the traffic hustle.
We ride close to the new Acropolis Museum and the Ancient Cemetery of Kerameikos, through the neighborhood of Thission, while you enjoy a great view of the Acropolis and the Parthenon. We then, cycle through the Ancient Greek Agora and pass by the Roman Agora and Monastiraki flea market. We continue cycling in the historic district of Plaka, and then we move to the National Gardens, one of the best areas to ride downtown Athens. We will also stop in front of the Presidential Mansion to see the Presidential Guards, pass by the Panathenaic Stadium and Zappeion exhibition Hall.
This bike tour is designed for the average cyclist. We do not cycle on busy streets and we avoid difficult uphills. Small groups and our local tour leaders ensure your safety
